SOCIAL MEDIA TIP

Image
Never leave them guessing and this just saves everyone from the hassle of "Oh sorry I am based in Kano, not Abuja". Spell it out....in fact state which part of your city you are based in and always put it in the geotag on each IG post you make.

CAUTION YOUR RIDERS ON HOW THEY DRIVE

Image
Hmmmm every single logistics company is on this table. Is it pressure from clients? Is it pressure to finish their work quickly and hit targets? Is it the movies they watch on TV? What exactly makes some riders act recklessly on the road?  Please the act of cautioning your riders is a daily one. They know they don't have spare lives at home but some really believe that the red light does not apply to them. What can we do?  We can only train, reprimand, caution them and PRAY for them daily. We also need to have the right type of insurance to ensure that our riders, assets, cargoes, and businesses are well covered in the event of an accident resulting in losses, injuries and even death.  Is your business insured? Are your clients' goods insured? Is the life and health of your riders insured? Put it on your to-do list and treat ASAP! We wish you a safe and accident free week ahead.

USE YOUR FACE TO MARKET YOUR BUSINESS

Image
Social media marketing is a lotta work! It truly is. Staying consistent and dishing out posts that convert is not child's play. You have to be known, liked and trusted in order for clients to put their hands in their pockets for your business.  Guess what, no matter how beautiful your logo is, you need to show real humans on your page. Put up your riders, your staff and yourself from time to time. Humanise your brand for a change. Try that consistently and see the change. #thankmelater

EVERYONE STARTS SOMEWHERE

Image
Jeff Bezos of Amazon started off in 1999 in the small office in the picture. With consistency and hard work he is the wealthiest person alive and the first person in modern history to accumulate a fortune of over $100 billion. Don't despise where you are now. You might have just one motorbike or none at all, you might have a mini space in a boy's quarters somewhere that you are managing.... don't be ashamed of it or beat yourself up. You have to start somewhere.  Have a plan for yourself and your business. Take it in stages. Be consistent and hardworking and it will pay off.

CHOOSE YOUR FIELD

Image
As a new Logipreneur, it is easy to get carried away and want to offer all services. It is very important to choose your area and specialize in it 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 For example, food deliveries 🍞🥫🥗🥣🌮🌯🥙🎂🍰🍰🍪🎂: . ★ These are time sensitive. ★ Require careful handling. ★ Require specific vehicles, etc If you decide to choose this area, ensure you train your riders and drivers on handling food, inform your customers on adequate packaging that will be accepted, give your riders and drivers a 1hour window for pickup and delivery of the food.  Choose carefully and specialize in a particular area of logistics so you can create a niche for your business.

This is only possible with proper planning and attention to detail in each process. Errors in logistics often cause great discomfort to customers and you may even lose the contract because a delay in delivery generates problems with the supply chain, loss of time and money, as well as the failure to meet performance indicators so important to companies. So if your business is logistics or is a very important component of your value offer, pay attention to these mistakes that you must avoid making if you want to provide the best service to your customers and differentiate yourself from the competition. Image

DEALING WITH COMPETITION

Image
I have so much competition in my area reducing the profit I'm able to make, how do I survive?  We get asked this question in our dm, daily. We know it isn't easy but here are a few ways to outlive the competition: Be innovative, always be 2 steps ahead Take care of your existing customers Target a new market Create a niche for your delivery business e.g. focus on food deliveries or pharmaceuticals . Up your marketing game, stop waiting for customers to come to you and go look for them. Don't depend fully on the WhatsApp Group jobs. Get your own real clients.  By the way, have you called our GROUP LOGISTICS CONSULTANT for help? Call *07060692321* now. Service Charge applies.

FOOD DELIVERY

Image
Dear Colleagues, not all deliveries are for you. Delivering food is not the same as delivering apparel.  It involves different methods of handling, different type of pricing structure, etc. This picture was from a delivery company that was asked to help a customer pick up pizza from a popular food outlet and this is how it arrived. You see when some people decide to specialize in food deliveries, they have their reasons. There is a reason why Dominos pizza's dispatch bikes are designed a certain way and why they do not outsource their deliveries to other companies. So next time a customer calls you to ask for a food delivery, make sure you are properly equipped and prepared for it to avoid making a mess of things. Lagos Logistics Group recommends a Logistics Consultant who can help in such areas, staff training and many more.  For more inquiries, Call *07060692321*

=N=500 ANYWHERE IN LAGOS

Image
Soo because Delivery Company 'XXX' is charging N500 all over Lagos, you decide to jump on the same bandwagon blindly. If this is you .....stopppppeeetttttt!!!! Do you know that it may simply be a strategy to gain a large share of the market? Do you know if they are backed by raw Dollars that they raised from investors in the US of A? Do you know what their costs and strategies are?  Do you know what factors to consider when preparing your delivery rates or are you going with the flow and doing copy and paste?

SETTING BOUNDARIES IS A FORM OF SELF RESPECT

Image
See eh, in our years of experience, we have learnt that you cannot be all things to all people. You need to draw the line when it comes to things that do not work well with your operations. Still wondering what we are talking about, let me break it down: You know that delivering iced cakes via bikes is a bad idea but you still take it on and end up delivering squashed cakes which you end up paying for as your agreement with the baker was not that her cake will be delivered squashed. You constantly take on timed deliveries even though you know you do not have the capacity to fulfil the orders. You agree to collect cash on behalf of you customers for their products without having a process in place to be able to reconcile accounts and always end up telling long stories as to why their money is incomplete at the end of the month. THIS IS CAUSED BY NOT SETTING BOUNDARIES!!!! Learn to say No when necessary! Know what works for your business and what will cost you more than you are putting

WEEKLY MEETINGS WITH YOUR STAFF

Image
Weekly meetings with all staff is an absolute MUST. Saturday is a good day for meetings with your dispatch riders. It can be twice a month. Here are a few reasons why: - It helps to keep everyone informed with what's happening at the office or any changes being made. It serves as a bonding session. It helps in feeling the pulse of your staff and knowing the issues that are affecting their work. It is a good way of giving performance feedback to encourage staff. We can go on and on....you get the message right. Take out 30minutes to 1hour a week to meet with all your staff this week.

STAFF TRAINING

Image
𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙁𝙁 𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂  We can never overempahsize the need to invest in training your staff (both in-house staff  and your dispatch riders) Your staff are ambassadors of your business. They are constantly in touch with your customers. You need to invest in training them so they make an excellent first impression and retain customers. Some trainings to invest in are: - Customer service training . - Road safety and how to maintain your motorbike (yes, this exists) - Marketing - Record keeping and much more. Invest in training your staff and your business will reap the benefits. To help us in getting this training, we have a Consultant who is also an expert in Logistics business.  𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙡 07060692321 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤 𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜

HAVE YOU IDENTIFIED YOUR TARGET MARKET?

Image
Your Target Market are people who need your service. Here are some things to help you identify your target market: - Your current customer base - The type of service you are providing (is it specific to an area e.g delivering food only) - Age of people that use your service - Gender  - Location - Are they social media savy (Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat) - How do they communicate (email, phone calls, whatsapp) The list is endless but once you know who you are selling to then you will know how to sell to them.

WANT PERFECTION?

Image
Accidents happen! The officials on the road can delay riders. Riders and other staff can decide not to show up! Bikes break down! Customers will call you out on social media for delays! Delays happen in logistics that are out of your control. You should strive for perfection at all time but please note that if you can't deal with imperfections then maybe Logistics is not for you.
